Center for Creative Leadership to Present 2011 Walt Ulmer Award to Professor Lynda Gratton

The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) EMEA is pleased to announce that Lynda Gratton, Professor of Management Practice at the London Business School will receive the 2011 Walter F. Ulmer Jr Award for Applied Research at a ceremony in Brussels on 17 July 2012. Established in honor of a former president of CCL, the Ulmer Award recognizes leading business thinkers who have an outstanding career in applied leadership research.

 "Lynda Gratton has made remarkable contributions to the field of leadership," said former CCL President Walter F. Ulmer Jr.   "It is a privilege indeed for CCL and for me to interact with and learn from her."

In addition to her role at the London Business School, Professor Gratton is Chair of the World Economic Forum's Council on Leadership. She has an active research agenda focused on leadership, collaboration, and the future of work, and is the author of six books on these topics.

As founder of the research-based consulting group The Hot Spots Movement (hotspotsmovement.com), Professor Gratton provides advice to companies and governments in Asia, Europe and the USA.

Professor Gratton writes extensively for the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review and the MIT Sloan Business Review. She also blogs for Fortune magazine and the London Business School and on her own website: lyndagrattonfutureofwork.com. She is currently writing her new book, which is scheduled for release in May 2013.

The Ulmer Award will be presented to Professor Gratton at a ceremony to be held at CCL's new learning campus in Brussels on 17 July. Professor Gratton will present a paper on her research before taking part in a video conference with Walt Ulmer.
